Top 7 Vaping Tricks for Beginners

Vaping is becoming an increasingly popular hobby. Some do it to unwind, others like experimenting with flavors, and a growing subsection has become engrossed in learning and performing cool tricks using thick vape plumes.

And while the tricks seem impressive, from a technical point of view, many are pretty simple – once you’ve got a few basics down. The key is knowing which ones to start from. We did that work for you – compiled a list of the best tricks that are easy to learn yet look pretty striking when performed.

The Best Vaping Tricks to Get Started

Vaping tricks are fun! They can greatly enhance your vaping experience, adding a new level of fun to it. Start with these simple tricks; you can move on to even more impressive visual displays with time and practice. Just make sure to equip yourself with high-quality vaping juice and a reliable device from a good electronic cigarette shop, and you’ll be impressing your friends in no time.

1. The Ghost Inhale

Widely regarded as the easiest vaping trick around, many newbies start with this one. The Ghost Inhale starts with exhaling a dense cloud that is then quickly inhaled back into the mouth.

Pull from your vape, hold the vapor in your mouth, and gently push it out into a ball. Quickly inhale it back in. The tricky part here is the speed – if you’re not fast enough, the plume will just dissipate. If using a multi-use electronic cigarette, make sure to keep your vapor flow steady for a cleaner effect.

2. The O-Ring

The O-Ring is a little trickier, but still relatively simple. And the coolest part is that it serves as a base for many other tricks – learn the O-Ring, and you’re halfway to forming a full catalog.

The trick involves creating a series of thick vapor loops that float away without losing shape. Take a deep draw, form your lips into an “O” shape, and push the vapor out by tapping your cheek (the easier option) or pulsing your throat (for more advanced vapers). For best results, try out several different vaping juices – to form a defined, lasting shape, you need to find one that produces a thick cloud.

3. The Jellyfish

One of the tricks that use O-Ring as the basis is the Jellyfish. It’s a little advanced and depends on speed, but once you’ve got the thick, lasting O-Ring down, it should be relatively easy to master.

Start by blowing a large O-Ring. Once the circle is in the air, blow a thick vapor stream through its center. The vapor should form a jellyfish-like shape when it passes through the O. As long as you master quick successive exhales, you’ll pull it off with ease, especially if you’re using a device that delivers smooth, consistent clouds.

4. The Bull Ring

A relatively unknown but visually impressive trick, the Bull Ring also begins with an O-Ring.

To perform this trick, first blow a thick O-Ring. Then, immediately lean into the loop and inhale the top half of it through your nose. The vapor should form a “bull ring” effect around your nostrils if done correctly.

Again, the success of this trick depends on a stable shape that doesn’t dissipate quickly, so you want to use high-quality vaping juice that forms a thicker plume.

5. The Triangle

Another trick that starts with the O-Ring, the triangle is relatively uncommon, but it’s a surprisingly easy trick to master.

Again, start by blowing a medium-sized O-Ring. Once the circle is floating, start shaping it down with your hand on one side while gently pushing forward. This should cause the loop to distort and take on a triangular shape.

If nothing else, you might be the only one at the party able to perform it. And maybe even teach some impressed onlookers.

6. The Tornado

The Tornado is among the most popular vaping tricks, and understandably so. Not only is it visually impressive, but also among the easiest to learn.

You’ll need a flat surface, like a tabletop. Start by exhaling a thick, dense vapor cloud onto the surface. Once you’ve created a still, flat cloud, quickly swipe your hand upward through the vapor to create a twisting tornado effect.

However, do keep in mind that this one depends on producing a lot of mist and thick clouds. It might be somewhat harder to perform if you’re using disposable vape pens since the flow they produce usually isn’t as steady and powerful, as that of multi-use electronic cigarettes. Doesn’t mean it can’t be done! But you’ll need some patience and practice.

7. The Vapor Bubble

A greatly underappreciated trick; we haven’t seen it mentioned on many lists. Probably, because, unlike most other tricks, it requires some additional tools (nothing unattainable or expensive!) and a bit more time to set up. But if you do invest the effort, it will pay off.

You only need a small tube (many use a plastic bottle cut in half) and soapy water. First, dip the tube into the soapy water from the wide, open side. It should create a bubble film on the end. Then, gently blow your plume through the tube, forming a vapor-filled bubble. The shimmering bubble filled with the plume looks a bit like a fortune-telling crystal ball. Once it pops, you’ll see a small burst of vapor cloud.

This trick is fun, visually unique, and doesn’t require intense practice in its original form. That said, more advanced vapers have found a way to make it look more impressive and sometimes fill the bubble with several small clouds at once.

Another cool part? Unlike most other tricks, this one doesn’t depend on the mist keeping its form, so it works great with any device, from disposable vape pens to more advanced setups.
