Vape Coils

A vape coil – also called an atomizer – is one of the key parts of your vaping device. It may seem that all coils are essentially the same, but this couldn’t be further from the truth. While they do serve the same purpose, they greatly differ in how they do it – and create different experiences for the user.

In short, a vape coil is a heated wire loop inside the atomizer of an e-cigarette that surrounds the wicking material. Its job is to heat and vaporize the e-liquid, transforming it into an inhalable vapor. But not all coils are made equal. Aspects like wattage range, airflow, base resistance, and the VG/PG ratio of the vape juice need to be considered. Not only do your coil needs differ depending on the kit itself, but you need to take the type of e-liquid you prefer using into account as well.

At Podsy, you’ll discover a carefully curated selection of the highest-quality vape coils that cater to every vaping preference. Are you looking for something durable for comfortable daily use? Something more complex for an experience tailored to your preferences? There’s an atomizer in Podsy’s catalog that’s going to be a perfect fit. Podsy has products with different resistances, materials, and builds to support mouth-to-lung (MTL) and direct-lung (DL) vaping.

We advise you to exercise due diligence when choosing your atomizer. Don’t forget that the coil specifics being a good fit with your preferred vape juice is key to maximizing the experience. When selecting your atomizer, remember to check the juice VG/PG ratio. As a general rule, e-liquids with a higher VG (Vegetable Glycerin) ratio should be used with coils that have less than 1.0 ohms resistance. On the flip side, e-liquids with a higher PG (Propylene Glycol) ratio should be used with coils that atomize above 1.0 ohms. Incorrectly pairing an atomizer with e-liquid may result in an unexpectedly harsh or burnt taste.
